GranPurismo is a spanish hiphop artist based in Schaffhausen (Switzerland). Son of galician emigrants, he discovers his passion for hiphop music in the early 90’s. After making his first steps on the mic in 1996, he joins the crew ZEST and represents the hood rapping in spanish, german and french. The SHS member releases his first maxi “switzerland tschorissos” (RuffNuff) in 2000 and drops his “Realidad EP” (Focolio Rec.) in 2004. Gp is well-known in his motherland, a consecuence of several collabos with artists like Violadores del Verso, Rapsus’klei, Hazhe, Erik Beeler and many more… The swiss hiphop comunity allways liked to feature gp on their records, you can hear gp’s voice on some Sens Unik, Semantik, Greis or King Kora stuff. In 2006 he drops his maxi “generaciones” produced by malaga’s finest Cool Remember. In 2007 gp flashes the hispanic crowd with his mixtape “spitfire” (s1ze music), wich you can download on www.granpurismo.com, a great mixture of different styles on some US instrumentals.
Dropping his first album “aventuras en el paraiso” produced by Hazhe, he gets a jointventure deal with Fibonacci Musik/Universal Publishing.
At the moment he is working on his new album with Cool Remember,, who will be released in 2009.
